A Southern Fall

For You are Dust, and to Dust You Shall Return

you preach love but post spiteful comments regarding those with whom you disagree.

you preach kindness but post hateful comments concerning those with whom you disagree.

you preach fairness for certain ideologies but post heinous comments about other’s who’s ideologies don’t align with yours.

you preach about the freedom of speech but post disrespectful comments to bash another for exercising their right to speech.

you preach peace, hope, and love but post despair and panic when things don’t go according to your will.

What if you used that energy to build one another up on social media? What if you used your words to support one another? What if you agreed to disagree with utmost respect?

Don’t you think you can change hearts and minds through love and kindness rather than hate and spite?

Today, I pose a solution –

Why don’t we stop pointing fingers and extend hands. Don’t you see, America, YOU are the problem? I’M the problem. Why are we turning against each other? For you are dust, and to dust you shall return.

I just needed to share my heart today.
All the goodness of grace,
