Trader Joe’s Tuesday {1}

This post begins Whimsical’s “Trader Joe Tuesday” series. This saga will continue as long as I’m finding worthy products to share. Below, are 5 products that I used this past week.

Tarte d’Alsace

“A French Style Flat Bread with Ham, Caramelized Onions, & Gruyere Cheese”

This is probably my favorite savory “flat bread” { it’s more like a tart } in all the land. I always eat the entire thing in one sitting. Honestly, you could probably serve it at a dinner party … the twisted puff pastry crust makes it look gourmet homemade. { priced at $8.98 }

BBQ Chicken Teriyaki

In a pinch? This is a yummy and not-so terrible weeknight meal. Throw in some fresh zucchini and onions and you just created your own take-out meal. The Cutie likes his served on top of fried rice { also sold in the freezer section of Trader Joe’s }. If you’re having a meal for one, just use one of the two teriyaki pouches. { priced at $4.99 }.

Thai Shrimp Gyoza

I no longer have to wait to order dumplings from our local take out spot. These are AHHmazing. The whole pieces of shrimp combined with cabbage and spices will send you over the edge. { I steamed mine for 8-9 minutes } Pair them with the BBQ Teriyaki { above } and you have a full meal for the family. { priced at $4.99 }

Spinach & Artichoke Dip

Busy women, this is for you! I take this dip to parties in a Le Creuset for the hostess. It’s always a big hit. You can find mini Le Creuset dishes at your local Homegoods. { priced at 2.99 }

Crispy Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Did you really think I could post a Trader Joe’s haul without including these yummies? They’re a crowd and kid favorite. Surprisingly, I only picked up one tub. { priced at $3.99 }

All the goodness in good food and great company,

  1. I remember going to trader joes once when my family visited virginia like 10 years ago lol. Those chocolate chip cookies reminded me of the chocolate chip biscotti we got there that was sooo good! Looks like a fun series you’re starting ;))

  2. Such good buys! I always always buy shrimp gyozas whenever I go out for Asian cuisine, I’m such a sucker for those. I need to get a box of those to make for myself at home! Also you can never ever go wrong with some good ol spinach and artichoke dip; adding it to the list!!

    xo, JJ
