Monday Blues

hi friends!

If you’re anything like me, you catch the Monday Blues on Sunday around 4pm and the symptoms don’t subside until Thursday at 5pm.  You should do the following to cure the blues this week.

Plan one thing to look forward to each day. Your favorite cup of tea, a night filled with Netflix and pasta, a pedicure {splurge for the massage}, a date at your favorite dinner spot, a bowl of {real} ice cream with sprinkles, an hour to browse Pinterest for your next DIY project…

Add fruit to your water. Lemons, Oranges, Strawberries, Blueberries, Grapes, Cucumbers. It’s the little things that make you feel fancy.

Write a letter to your favorite person. On fancy stationary, of course. Post a picture on Instagram using the hashtag, #WhimsicalMail, to encourage your friends to spread joy.

Get a spray tan. Be honest with yourself, getting tan {real or fake} in the colder months always puts a jingle back in your step.

Jam out in the shower. Trust me, a shower jam sesh will do you good and besides, no one will ever see those nkd dance moves.

Pretend you’re the queen for a day. Go to sleep with a tiara on your nightstand. When you wake up the next morning, place it on your head, get ready for the day, pretend to be siked, and leave the house with it on. Don’t worry, you can stash it in your glovebox when you get where you’re going.
