It’s a… G I R L!

I’ve been keeping this news to myself for MONTHS and I’m so happy to that all of the news is finally out. I’ve been excited to share cute outfits but we found out through a blood test at 8 weeks and I just refused to believe the accuracy of that test. We officially found out last Wednesday via ultrasound and I was able to shoot the reveal this weekend. I’m glad I waited to share for my peace of mind and because it was fun to have a bump for pictures.

How I Found Out – 8 weeks

Our doctor and good friend, Erin, called me on Wednesday at 9 weeks, after receiving the results. She couldn’t wait to post to the online portal so she rang me during my lunch hour… she said, “I wanted to tell you that Baby looks healthy and that you’ll be buying lots of pink and bows!” I squealed from excitement and she gave me some ideas for “Greg’s reveal.” (He told me a week prior that he wanted to some sort of fun reveal with his family and mine since this is the first babe.)

I immediately called my mom, who just knew (as well as the rest of my family) that Baby was a girl. She was so thrilled and quickly made a trip to TJMaxx for a stuffed elephant lovie and tiny gold shoes. We devised a reveal for the family.

How Greg & Our Families Found Out – 9.5 weeks

I cannot keep a secret nor can I lie so this was a tough 4 days for me. I asked Greg not to pry and he honored my wishes because he knew I would cave. He actually wanted to be surprised which made it even more fun.

My family arrived to our house that my mother-in-law had beautifully decorated for the reveal, we quickly caught up, and gathered in the front yard. Greg planned to hit a golf ball with colored chalk.
